I'm trying to access the web UI, which I used all the time before a reinstall. This current install is quite fresh (only did it two weeks ago) and isn't that cluttered, so i'm totally perplexed why it isn't working.

I go to http://localhost:6768 and i get connection refused. I turned off the firewall and antivirus, still the same thing. I can connect to my DVB-Viewer web UI just fine, with no issues at all.

The GB-PVR log files don't show anything at all either.

Any thoughts on where else to look? Do I need to install some other software to get it running? (it's been a while since I've done all this)

Specs:
Windows 7
Windows Firewall
AVG Free Antivirus

that port looks wrong unless you've changed it. Default is 7647.

Two, in the install is the web admin turned on? it's no by default. I'm basing all this on the fast that you've said its a pretty new install.

Also, you need to add "/gbpvr" to the url:

http://localhost:7647/gbpvr (modify the port to match if you have changed it.)

I changed the port.

when you say is web admin on, I ticked the box in misc2, do I need to do anything else?

i still can't get this to work, I am at a loss as to what else I can try.... I don't even know of any log or diagnostic could help me

Any point in reinstalling?

Is it something that Windows 7 is doing perhaps?

Zip and post a full set of logs showing an attempt to connect. Probably only need the recording service logs but post a full set just in case.

What about setting the interact with desktop flag on the recording service?

yay!! it works.

as advised I changed the interact with desktop flag, and also set it to run as administrator. So one of those fixed it Smile

I just wanted to add that, for WIndows 7, the only way I got this to work was by disabling Windows Firewall.
