WizMetadataGrabber postprocessing.bat?

Hi JavaWiz.

I have been playing around with the mayhem skin and like the recordings menu with the big posters and I was wondering if there is a way to make pvrx2 trigger your WizMetadataGrabber to scan the new file after a new recording?

I have some major worries one is that pvrx2 auto converts every file I record to avi and deletes the original so I am worried that adding a processing.bat file will stop auto conversions?

Also I am hoping to trigger the metagrabber after each conversion.

I have tried making a bat file to see if I can get something and I get snagged I guess at the /:f:%1

I don't think it is possible with my setup

I am trying to get pictures ind metadata of new recordings into the pvr asap and I thought maybe run an hourly task but I think the grabber will regrab every old file heh

In short, yes what you are trying to do is possible. I do it as part of my post processing script. Unfortunately, I am out of town and do not have access to my machine for a few weeks.

If you post your post processing batch file, I'll take a look and see if I can offer any suggestions to accomplish what you are trying to do.

My processing file is blank and I have added this.

wizmetadatagrabber.exe /f: %1

dragging a file onto the bat does nothing.

I will wait until you are back in town with more time.

1) What is the exact filename and location of your post processing batch file?
2) Try putting a PAUSE statement at the end so you can see if there are any errors when you drop a file on to the batch file

Hey man thanks for the pause tip!

Looks the error was me not specifying where the .exe was. it was in the gbpvr dir with the bad file.

Changing it to:

@echo
c:
cd\
cd "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr"

"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\wizmetadatagrabber.exe" /f: %1

Fixed it up

Now I hope gbpvr will still compress my files and what happens when the file changes from mpg to avi?

ohh... i was wondering if there was a way to shuffle the movie list in moviewiz?

finding that am watching movies that begin with the letter A since they are in order so I nice shuffle would make things more interesting for me

anyway thanks for your help. I will update this thread when I figure out if my movies are still encoding etc...

this is really great!

pvrx2 will auto encode my movies and delete the mpg and your tool grabs the cover art and metadata all after each movie I record!!
