TechniSat SkyStar HD2 setup problems

Hi,

Just bought and installed the TechniSat SkyStar HD2 card. Have just watched 'Coast' on BBC HD and it looked great viewing it via the "DVBViewer TE2" software that came with the installation disk - so i know my satellite signal and dish are fine. I now want to use GB-PVR with this card so have just tried to set it up but when i hit the "Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels" i get an error "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly and not already in use". I've uninstalled the "DVBViewer TE2" software (in case that was causing a conflict) and the setup in GB-PVR still fails with the same error. Any ideas anyone? Hopefully i've attached the right files to help.

The device you've selected when you setup your caputure source does not match the drivers you've got installed.

Run filtercheck.exe from the gbpvr directory, then post the filtercheck.log and I'll take a look.

Try adding the following to your bda.ini file, and select "TechniSat SkyStar HD2 type2" as the card type in your capture source settings.

Try deleting any "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\bda\*.cache" files, then try scanning again, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log files and I'll take a look.

I can see in your logs that your capture source does not select the new "TechniSat SkyStar HD2 type2" card definition I posted above.

You need to make sure that entry (I posted above) is added to your bda.ini file, and that you have selected that card in the capture source settings. You currently have the older "TechniSat SkyStar HD2" option selected, not "TechniSat SkyStar HD2 type2".
