Martin,

As said in your announcement thread I am getting a black screen on my NMTs using your two latest versions of mvpmcx2. Attaching logs as requested. Let me know if any telnet testing is needed.

Thanks,

Could you set AutoStart MVP servers to 1 and retry, nothing is being captured.

Did as requested but I can still not see any log activity.

Here is how I did it:

1. Changed to 1 MVP to autostart in config.
2. Started GBPVR on PCH
3. Got black screen and waited 5 minutes
4. Unplugged the PCH
5. Zipped the logs which seemed to be untouched since config restart.

You are right there was no connection, which makes me think that there is a command line issue since you say older versions work. If you start by telnet and send the logs we should be able to get this.

No problem enjoy. I'll trade weather with you though. After the rainiest July in history, it has rained in several passes today.

Martin,

I had some time and did some more testing. Not really sure how to work the telnet test you talked about, I went back to the old way of installing (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=33790). Doing this I actually got the 07-31 version to work.

I also did a fresh install with the dummies intall (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=38896) which again gave me a black screen.

Can you give me some pointers of how to do testing throught telnet since I would like to use the simplyfied setup in the future.

Thanks,

It sounds more like an issue with the command line for startmeup for your monitor. Only certain modes are set automatically as I wrote here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=42337

To debug after you get the black screen, telnet to your pch and issue the command

/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2

and upload the captured screen output. I recommend putty and you can capture all screen output to a putty.log

Martin,

Finally got around to try this. However, all I got was a permission denied issuing the command on telnet as you suggested.

What can I try now?

Are you running from a share or using some alternate script?
