I've just had to rebuild my system and I'm getting an error from of "Sorry, the system does not support the required VMR9 video render"

I thought I'd installed all the pre requisites but I;ve obviously missed something vital.

Any ideas?

This is usually fixed by updating the video card drivers (or sometimes by installing directx runtime).

Well that was wierd, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I'd recently added a second graphics card to give me a 3rd monitor, an old Matrox Mistique, not a problem previously but it appears that when I rebuilt the system that card was grabbed by XP as the first graphics card which upset GBPVR.

I disabled that which presumably made XP shift its focus to the ATI card and the error went away after a reboot, even after I re-enabled the old card again.

Now all I have to do is get it to recognise any channels but as WinTV can't see any either it's presumably a problem with the card or drivers rather than the software

OK, a driver reinstall resolved the lack of channels

I found that installing .NET 3.5 SP1 fixed this one.
