When I try to run config after I upgraded to 1.4.7, I get a message box with the following:
Quote:Please reboot and rerun Config.exe to ensure the database is correctly updated (previous database update attempt failed)

After I hit OK, config starts up & my Hauppauge 1600 tuners are missing. I hit cancel without saving anything. I attached the config logs.

My gbpvr directory has an upgrade.ddl dated June 27th,2009 (9:04 am) and a file upgrade.ddl.done dated May 12, 2008 (7:15 am). I saw had posted a message about renaming upgrade.ddl.done to upgrade.dll, but I was hesitant to do that since the file looks so old.

Rebooting made no difference.

If you reboot and start the config app, does it correct itself, or do you still get the error?

This happened to me. I uninstalled GB-PVR and re-installed and everything worked

I added the line to my original post before seeing your reply.

Can you set <LogSQL>true</LogSQL> in config.xml, then reboot, start the config app, then zip and attach your logs directory?

I changed the line in config.xml, rebooted, tried to run config, got the message box, hit OK, hit cancel when Config started, stopped the recording service (so I could access its log file) & put the log files created since rebooting in the attached file.

FWIW, I'm seeing the same thing. Reboot doesn't fix nor does a re-install.

Sorry, but you'll need to set your logging level back to 'debug' and reproduce the problem and repost the logs.

Uninstalled 1.4.7. Copied conifg.xml & gbpvr.db3 from 1.3.11 backup into gppvr directory. Installed 1.4.7. Didn't fix it.

Then I saw your message asking for log level to be set to debug. Changed LoggingLevel to Debug (reset LogSQL to true while I was in there). Rebooted. Got Microsoft .NET Framework error messages. Discovered that somehow, my text editor has messed up the character for the registered trademark symbol for the Sonic Cinemaster decoders in the config.xml file. Fixed that by deleting the character in three places. Rebooted. Tried to start Config. Got the error message from my top post above. Exited from Config with Cancel. Zipped up the logs & attached them.
