Program 'Merlin' is set to record at 19:00 with 2 minutes pre-padding. Recording starts on time and seems to stop at the right time, but the recorded file is only 66MB, post-processing does not get run, status continues to show Merlin as recording and Recordingservice is left running at 99-100% cpu until I restart it.

The program is on BBC3 which is a part time channel (with CBBC) - switch over is at 19:00. The recording which is created shows the end of CBBC finishing off with about 10 seconds of black screen. Presumably, Recordingservice is stopping the recording after so many seconds of 'no signal'.

The main problem is the fact that Recordingservice never recovers. Also, short of manually removing the pre-padding, is there any way of catching the first program on these part-time channels. It happens on 1.4.7 and 1.3.11.

Those logs are empty so I cant check myself, but I wanted to know what mux you're using.

Any chance you want to switch to TS Mux temporarily to see if the problem goes away? I suspect it'll work with that mux.

We dont have any part time channels here, so not something I can test myself.

I'll try to do the same. With luck I can get two machines going, one with cyberlink and one with tx mux. and one on 1.3.11 and the other on 1.4.07 (unless I get the chance to upgrade the other one).

Haven't you got that back to front? I would think sub would want the results from .ts & 1.4.7 to work with?

I was thinking that we could cover all the bases if martin123 did it the other way around... Big Grin
