Hi folks,

I upgraded to 0908 and while it fixes the EPG bug, it seems to have created a new problem: The first time the system tries to record something, audio is recorded fine. The second time, the audio is silent. The file itself has no audio, I checked it on another computer.

Subsequent reboots will clear it for the first program, but not the second.

The ATI eHomeWonder is worked perfectly for me, so I don't think it's the hardware.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled; deleted the MDB files and uninstalled/reinstalled. Is there anything I should try before reformatting with XP?

Hi tsangc,

I had exactly the same problem, and it signifcantly reduced the WAF when it turned out an episode of her favorite show had fallen victim to this... It turned out that I could quickly recreate the problem using live TV (the recorded kind, not the newly added preview): a single channel change would remove the audio and only a reboot would restore it.

I ended up doing a complete uninstall followed by a fresh install (by mistake I ended up first installing the previous version, and I installed the current version over it). This fixed the problem for me. By the way, I have not enabled the live TV preview mode out of fear for making the problem return...

Regards,

Jan

Hello Jan,

Thanks for your help--I reinstalled XP and reloaded 0908. The problem is even worse now: No recording has any audio.

Something has changed in code, I think. I guess I'll have to wait for the next version or roll back to an older version. Does anyone know where the old versions reside?

Calum
