Also when I open a recording file and play it on my PC there is no Audio.

My TV Card is a Hauppauge PVR-500 (Analogue).
I have a Realtek AC'97 Audio device onboard of my Asus P4P800E deluxe.
The system runs Windows Vista Ultimate NL SP1 (32bit) i have also tread Windows 7, but this give other errors. I have a other pc with Windows Server 2008 R2, on this machine the TV card does not work.
GBPVR have i install with NMTInstall.exe and left al settings default...

Must I switch with my desktop PC to XP or is there a solution for the Audio problem... I hope so I have try a lot of setups... One week have been busy all day to get it al work... Rolleyes Sad

I hope so somebody can help my to get it all work. Watch and listen TV with GBPVR on my new NMT with Audio....!

I really hope someone helps you this time, I know this is your fourth post without a reply and you are trying your best as a newcomer. Typically even when sub is away the reponse is a little better however as I mentioned before you should post your logs to get help the most accurate help.

You are missing telling people you get this message

I received then errors when I use the TunningAssistent.exe and select my card.

I had a feeling he was having the "Failed to find Crossbar filter. Wrong device type?" error on his Windows Server 2008 R2, I have no idea if there are drivers for a PVR500 for Win server 2008.

But he is now using a PC running Windows Vista Ultimate NL SP1 (32bit) & that should be no problem as I am fairly sure that is the same as my brothers second server & he has at least one pvr500 in it.

hvannieu where exactly have go to, are you able to run the TuningAssistant programme now & find you channels? Are you able to record? Is it playback on the NMT that you have no audio on as well as the PC?

If it is on the PC your could try these codecs

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPA_Decoder.htm
They are often suggested here.

How are you recording from an antenna or set top box?

Since there is no audio on the PC or on the NMT I don't think a decoder is going to help. It's probably related to this http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=39366

To run GBPVR on a Windows Server 2008 R2 (64bit) Machine have I give up. I have install it on a client (workstation) machine. With a good Graphics card (supports DirectDraw and Direct3D) and a Audio device. I have now no problems with the screen. But I have no Audio when I watch liveTV or recording LiveTV. Also when I play a recording file on my workstation then there is no Audio. Other MPG files (downloaded) plays with Audio. Its like my TVcard gives no Audio to my Audio card at pc and streams no Audio to my NMT in the livingroom.

Specifications:
Windows XP Pro NL SP3 (32bit)
ATI Radeon 9200 Video Card
Hauppauge WinTV PVR 500 PCI II TV Tuner Card
Realtek AC'97 Audio device.

I have do a clean install of Windows XP Pro and make a ghost image, so I can fast back to a clean install. Then I have install all last drivers (video, audio, hauppauge). Also install .NET 3.5 and SP1, Haali - MatroskaSplitter, installer_cyberlink_powerdvd_Nederlands_Dutch and saf400beta17.
As last I have install GBPVR with the 'NMTInstall.exe' left al defaults.
Then try to watch live tv unfortunately without audio.
I have totally no idea what I must done to get it all work...

I have switch between all the settings in the GBPVR config (Playback -> Mpeg2 playback -> try there all options none of them gives my Audio when watch TV).
I'm totally at a loss and have almost lost hope that it will work.... Sad

I hope that there is somebody who can help my to get it work?
Then you can make my day good! See al my other Post I have work a week to get it work with Windows server 2008, Vista, Windows 7 and now hopefully on Windows XP. This is my last try....

Hi hvannieu don't give up but please post your GBPVR logs. It's probably your choice of device setting for the PVR 500 but I don't know enough about it to guide you and the logs will help.
