v.908... I've eventually got the Nova-T recording by installing a demo copy on InterVideo WinDVD Creator 2 (this gets the mux filters required). However all my recordings seem to have a minimum of 1 second time lag on the sound - it seems consistent throughout the recording and via MVP/showtime. Any ideas?

No idea what it is, but I have exactly the same problem with my Nova-T as well.

I also installed WinDVD Creator to get the MpgMux required. I'm going to investigate to see if that is the cause of the slow audio. I have found it makes little difference which audio options you choose in the config box.

Does anyone know which cyberlink product will get their version of the mux filters installed?

Google 'MpgMux download' - no quotes.

I've had a look at that thread - but I think there are two files with that root - mpgmux.dll and mpgmux.ax. I have downloaded a mpgmux.dll from the Ulead site (the properties of this file suggest it is Ulead's software) - but I suspect this is not what I need. I can't find a site to download mpgmux.ax which I believe belongs to Cyberlink.

I was hoping to download a Cyberlink product that would do all the registering of the filter for a quick test etc. Alternativly a little more specific instruction on finding the software elsewhere would be nice.

Regards

Does anyone else have the audio delay with live preview turned on as well?

I believe Cyberlink PowerCinema contains their version of mpgmux.ax

Live TV has no delay for me - just recording has a problem.

Does any one have a Nova-T system with working recording - if so which mux is being used?

After un-installing a trial InterVideo WinDVDCreator2 and installing a trial Cyberlink PowerCinema things have changed but not got much better.

This setup resulted in one or two seconds of sync'ed recording but then GBPVRRecorder took all remaining CPU resource and wrote nothing further to the mpeg file.

uninstalling the PowerCinema (but keeping a copy of MpgMux.ax) destroyed my mpeg2 codec - giving black screens in all video playbacks. Once I got that back I re-registered MgpMux.ax (using regsvr32).

Recordings now appear to be the correct size, and don't take over the CPU, however regardless of playback method they skip through the recording rapidly and jerkedly (Gspot shows reasonable info except the container section reads "MPEG-2 Program Stream << {1 vid, 1 aud} Sys Bitrate: 209715 kb/s VBR".

Does anyone have a foolproof system to get recordings from a DVB/BDA source via GBPVR. any help would be appriciated.

I had a fiddle with Live Preview last night, but can't get it to work at all.

If Live Preview is OFF, and I select Live TV from the gbpvr menu, I get the starting timeshifting screen, then I have audio and video, but about 1 sec out of sync, as previously discussed in this thread.

If Live Preview is ON, when I choose Live TV, I get a new ActiveMovie window, no Live TV at all and a black screen. GBPVR then hangs, but will allow me to exit using the cross in the corner of the windows.

I have no idea where to go next to sort this one out.

Does this happen on every digital channel? The only reason I say it is because I have seen similar on two specific channels whereas the majority of channels are OK. The two channels I've seen this on are on the same MUX at my transmitter so I'm suspecting some sort of tuning problem for that MUX (??? - not an expert in these matters so don't know).

Do you have any other cards other than the Nova?
