Man, had everything going well, until I added a second hauppauge wintv 1950 tuner.

Device manager sees both tuners, but when I plugged in the second tuner, the first tuner only receives static. Cable input is as good as always.

Swapped tuners (both usb) and got video back on one tuner (while keeping the second one unplugged) for the time being.

Then I decided to just delete all the capture sources and start from scratch. Both tuners plugged in, added the first tuner (in capture), 1950QAM, went to digital mapping section, it can't detect any channels.

I'm fried for the night, I can't even get one of these suckers to work let alone two. I did have one working with both plugged in at one point, but just can't seem to get both working.

Also re-installed the drivers on the disk that came with the tuners. I've rebooted and started the capture source from scratch. No go.

Wups, realized/remembered in the middle of the night that the device was trying to record the whole time. Perhaps conflicts with recording and trying to config the tuners created my problem.

Will try again tonight.

Ok, I know I had some issues when I plugged in the second 1950 tuner. It's what sent me into a tail spin last night.

All last night I moved units around, plugged different cables, splitters, etc. in.

When I got home today, I traced the coax from one tuner, and it ended up at the other tuner. I know I didn't start out that way, but that's how I ended up.

DOH!

Re-hooked coax cables properly to cable source, re-initiated captures for both digital and analog, and it all worked. Go figure.

How embarrassing!

I laugh only because I've actually done the same thing. Big Grin
