I upgraded to 1.4.7 a little over a week ago & have had two instances where recordings would not start (seemed like none of the tuners would respond) & I had to restart the recording service.

The latest instance was just before 1930 EDT. I tried to watch the ball game, but selecting "watch" just kicked me back to the guide. I then tried "quick record", but it just showed "Pending" and would not start recording.

As soon as I restarted the recording service, it started recording.

Other than that, 1.4.7 has behaved fine.

please don't use 7z format. it's too much work to open. you can use 7-zip if you like, but tell it to create a regular zip file.

Sub accepts 7zip is a format on this forum. Installing it for decoding is trivial too.

Yes, and how many people have actually downloaded that log file, saved it somewhere, and then extracted the contents into a directory? And then cleaned up the mess afterwords? I have 7zip installed, have had it for years, and I'm still not interested in looking at the logs in 7z format.

I'm usually ok with 7zip files, but I cant read them from here, so either repost as a .zip file, or bump the thready in a week and half when I'm back in NZ.

I don't see your problem (maybe I'm missing something). I use WinRar, it opens the file fine, I can open the log directly, without extracting in a dir etc etc.

It's nice to know WinRar can do that for 7z files. 7zip itself doesn't do that.

Similar to HtV I have Firefox configured to ask to open the 7zip UI exe (7zFM) on 7z, rar and zip files. This way they are download directly, and I don't care what is posted.

according to your log the recording service was shut down at 14:41 on 10-10:
Code:
2009-10-10 14:41:30.546    INFO    [4]    GB-PVR Recording Service stopping
2009-10-10 14:41:30.671    INFO    [5]    RecordingManager has been signalled to shutdown
2009-10-10 14:41:30.671    INFO    [5]    RecordingManager has finished
2009-10-10 14:41:33.484    INFO    [4]    GB-PVR Recording Service shutdown complete

and it was not restarted again until you did so at 19:29, after you found you couldn't watch or record tv.

There's nothing in the log to say why it shut down though, only that it did.
