Yes... working nicely, but I don't have the configuration settings with me. I'll check tonight. Any particular problem?

In Digital Source Configuration tick Only show devices detected in this machine and assign the appropriate Device Type for the tuner number you are configuring. Then do a scan/EPG download for each tuner.

I have a Nova T running on a XP Pro 32Bit, using 1.4.7 and it works great. When I try putting in another Nova T, I can't scan because it says can't find BDA device. I configure the second card as device 2. It could be that the signal strength when I split the antenna lead halves and quality fluctuates between 40 and 80. Will the signal strength problem when the antenna lead is split be solved when the transmitter goes to full power betwenn Nov 4 and Dec 2? The signal strength is 66 and quality is 100 if I don't split the feed. I use the SP2 usbehci.sys and usbport files because the later SP3 version of these files cause intermittent crash propblems. (google "usbehci.sys" and click on results for Hauppauge forums) Thank you for your help.

PS I have the latest driver for this card from Hauppauge site. Thank you for your help.

BTW I've been running full SP3 with Hauppauge drivers v4.3.26168.0 for a few months now and no sign of the crashing problem.

I have read that you should still get acceptable results with 80. www.ukfree.tv reports that transmitters increase their power a lot when they go all digital. If I were there, I would sit tight till the power increases then try again. On the other hand, it may be a config problem and not a reception problem.

I thought if you had 2 cards you had to set them as device 1 and device 2. I scanned the channels for the second card and trength was about 40 and quality 100 not like yesterday. I wonder if it has something to do with the "Y" splitter I am using. It looks like the antenna should go into the one at the bottom of the Y and the outputs should go int the other two but it doesn't work that way. I haven't checked the strength or quality on the other card though. One interesting thing that did happen, when I put the other card in I couldn't get widescreen on anything even though config was set as 16:9 until I changed to EVR. Go figure! Thank you ACTCMS and everyone else. Great support for a paid for application let alone a free one.

There is a very small number of devices, like this, that change the filter names for each device, in which case they all appear to be the first instance. Go figure! One thing to be appear of is that the 'auto' aspect ratio mode only works if you have the video decoder set to something other than 'system default'. |
