Hi again

I only have this problem before my system works perfectly, so Im hoping for a little help.

I have a dual DVB-T tuner Nova 500. When I record from tuner 1, all works well, but when recording from tuner 2, I get choppy recordings.

I tried to remove the EPG mappings from tuner 1, to force the tuner 2 to record by itself, and I still get choppy recordings.

According to the channel scan, tuner 2 uses the excact same channels and frequencies as tuner 1.

Also tried to remove tuner 2 and add it again, but same result Sad

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Jimmy

Oh, forgot to add:

It doesn't matter what channels I try to record. Tuner 1 always works, and tuner 2 does not. Even SD channels trigger the chopping on tuner 2.

Since this card is integrated I would say tuner was faulty.

I once had a Nova-T 500 with one duff tuner. Try running ScanChannelsBDA from here. It might show something.

Tried it. Found the channels fine, and the quality is high.

Hmmm...

On both tuners? There certainly was a number of users who reported one tuner being quite deaf compared to the other one on some of the earlier boards.

Sorry guys, I just found out the problem is a little different.

Both tuners work fine when recording alone. Its when recording simuntaniusly on both tuners, the chopping prolem occurs.

CPU load is less than 25%, so maybe it a harddisk problem???

More info:

When looking at the hauppauge signal monitor when recording 2 programs at the same time, I get a lot of correctable and uncorrectable errors on 1 of the tuners.

Hardware problem @ the tuner card?

More info:

The errors in hauppauge signal monitor can be on either tuner, depending on which tuner I activate first.
