A few Questions?

I've just built a new system to use a second HD-PVR. system specs at the end. running Xp Pro sp3.
Installed GB-PVR 1.4.7 and set up everything. Great Work as Always Sub! I had to put in a pvr-150 just for the remote and blaster. The HD-PVR is rev E1 and the blaster is still very flaky even after over one year on the market, no recording off the pvr-150. Stb is a Pace hd.

1- no option to delete or transcode or anything on the left side in the video library, it's in the 1.3.11 on my other similar system which as been running since last December with a rev C1 HD-PVR, also with a pvr-150 for the remote and blaster. The firewire control stopped working after 2months and it never worked since:confused:

2- no volume control in music or net radio, also works on the other system. All the options in config are the same.

3- The HD-PVR does not show any sign of activity when recording but records fine, the other system at leasts lights up when recording or trying to watch live tv. Also no live TV, get a black screen for 2 seconds and goes back to the main menu.

Any clues?

The system: M3A78-EM (disabled on-board hd3200),Athlon 2 250, 4gb corsair, ATI hd4670 hdmi, 2 seagates 1tb,1 wd 500gb, LG bd/dvd writer,
HD-PVR, LG 42" 1080i TV.
GB-PVR 1.4.7

NB: the HD-PVR is powered off the Antec 650 ps, so turns off and on when the system does. So it as a clean filtered 5.16v when on.

I suspect you have the slick skin selected for your new system as it has no buttons in the video library, try changing the skin to blue which has the buttons.

Maybe the same skin thing?? Not sure of this one though.

What skin are you using? The 'slick' skin goes for a minimal cleaner look, so does have buttons cluttering up the screen. You could still see buttons on the 'blue' skin though.

EDIT: jaggy bet me to it.

It should light up when its recording. If its not, its probably some firmware issue, or non-functional LEDs or something. GB-PVR has no control over the lights, thats all done automagically.

Ok, I'll switch to the blue skin after it finishes recording.
As for the lights they work if i record in TME, that's what puzzles me. I'll get a hold of Hauppauge and find out what's causing it.

Oh, another question, does comskip work now on .ts files.

Yes it does, but I think only the pay version does H.264.

Ok, let me know what to check when you have the time. For now I adjust it in either video or recordings then go back to the music library. I don't use the kb/mouse unless something's wrong, It's always in full screen and autostarts with the system. We only use the remote.

Ok, switched to blue skin and the buttons are there. Do you plan to have them back in the slick skin? Or maybe an option to set them?

The volume control still doesn't work on net radio and music, what should I check.
