I have a large collection of movies on different drives and computers. I am wondering if there is a GBPVR plugin that I can use with MVPMCX2 as an alternative to YAMJ so I stay within one interface without worrying about multiple shares.

Nothing has been released yet but you can follow Revens plans to rebirth his old My Videos plugin.

I have given up on that, it has been years in the making and nothing happened.

There have been other MovieWiz users here, but I don't see it as a direct replacement for YAMJ. All the NMT Jukeboxes are about eye-candy and they do do this by pre-generation of lots of static graphic images and web pages. GB-PVR is more a dynamic system and MovieWiz enhances the basic Movie Library and there is much more metadata grabbing and presentation, but it isn't focused on the UI with the movie walls etc.

Question, didn't the new skin for GB-PVR add support for metadata display? You just needed an XML file (forgot if it was mymovies.xml of xbmc .nfo) with the same filename and located in the same folder as the video.

Yes GBPVR supports MyMovies.xml among others now again for dynamic metadata display. It is nothing like YAMJ or even the MyMovies movie wall in 7mc http://www.hack7mc.com/2009/10/popular-m...enter.html

Hmm, haven't really played with the GB-PVR front-end recently. I just use it for recording and it is excellent at that. I use Windows 7 Media Center w/Media Browser (Vanilla skin) for actual media watching. It's really pretty. I think I spend more time browsing the collection instead of actually watching media. :p

Martin

Is there a tool to automate the generating mymovies.xml. The nfo files I have that I once generated for XMBC are not compatible with mymovies.xml structure.
