Hi everybody,

I'm using GB-PVR 1.4.7 on Windows 7 (32 bit) and have a DVB-C video card (TerraTec Cinergy C PCI HD). When I started an automatic scan, not all channels were found, so I wanted to do a manual scan afterwards. The problem is that the scan finds only a single channel and that over and over and it doesn't stop. The "Channel Details" are all the same for the channels and every single one works, but the rest of the channels couldn't be found. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Regars,

It sounds like something about the Terratec drivers dont like the way GB-PVR is doing its tuning, and its just staying on the previous frequency. I'm not sure what you could do about this though, other than looking for a different version of the drivers.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Well, actually, I got two TV cards: a TerraTec Cinergy C PCI HD and a Technotrend C-1501 Budget. Both show the same behaviour when scanning.

Sorry, I dont really know what to suggest. I have a C-1501 here, and it functions fine for me.

Post your logs though, and I'll see if anything stands out.

I used to get this with a techno trend card, delete the capture source do a full PC shutdown (I even used to pull the power plug) then go back in and re-setup the source. It used to happen to me if the first scan didn't get everything or crashed resulting in me having to re-scan. Anoying but once scanned it should be ok.

I deleted the capture sources (and even did a full shutdown) and configured only the Technotrend card this time, but nothing has changed.

I've been using MediaPortal before and encountered similar problems. When I did an automatic scan there, it found all channels but only those with 64 QAM could be watched, all the other ones produced a "no signal" error or something like that. When I entered the frequencies and QAM manually, everything worked fine.

I have attached the logs.

Unfortunately, I cant see any obvious reason for this in your logs.

Is their any way to add the channels manually like inserting them into some file? The channels that were found seemed to work, so only the scanning seems to be the problem.

Is there no possible solution to this problem? Sad

I had the same issue with a manual scan repeatedly finding/displaying the channel over and over. I cancelled the manual scan, noted the repeated values, and then used the values to manually edit the SCAN.cache file and add the channel. After that the channel appeared correctly back in the configuration screen.

I had read another post in this forum about manually editing SCAN.cache.

When you do the automatic scan, is frequency of the missing channel scanned? Do any other channels on the same frequency get found?
