What's anyone's view on this?

Currently wiki has been tweaked to give collapsible menu items from left nav bar. Homepage and Manual Contents have remained as a list.

Leave or also collapse?

Also anyone's view on current gbpvr logo top left?

Cheers

I don't see any problem collapsing them especially if the home page contents was changed.

Is the logo supposed to be cropped?

Nice, 1 vote for collapse then! Looking at changing home page contents as per another thread, probably inline with new look GBPVR main page by Hairy, but limited by wiki layout.

Well I think it is as download of .gif is actually cropped in itself which I find quite odd.

Best

I would think, "About this Wiki..." should be combined with what is under "Home Page". I had left the Manual open due to you folks redoing manual pages. I am indifferent in all matters really.

Good call! Votes?

Well there's been a lot of talk but no action yet Smile I just wanted to test the waters before committing. Can't believe I got here when all I was asked was to put up Systemshark's DVB-T guide/walkthrough and then got distracted by the wiki look and then got distracted by the new GBPVR main www page....

I never knew I could change the wiki skin look and colours by clicking on a couple of links, how thick am I???? (Don't respond to that 1!)

Ah ha, got you! If you were you wouldn't have responded Big Grin

Dear all,

any comments?

1) Wiki Homepage top left nav remains at that but with no further 'sub' (Wink) headings, it is just Wiki homepage with stuff about gbpvr as has been discussed previously. Browse 'index' & 'categories' move to a new 'Browse Wiki' left nav?

2) 'About this Wiki' left nav moves up under Homepage nav with collapse?

3) 'Manual Contents' needs some more thought but initial collapse as per previous talk?

4) Where to put the 'Walkthroughs' as have been discussed? A further sub menu item under quickstart? A whole section just for them outside of 'Manual Contents'? A new section in 'Manual'?

5) New gbpvr wiki logo top left? The current one is cropped at source.

6) Some brighter, more visually striking default colours for the Wiki skin? (I actually only found out yesterday that for all the years I've been looking at it I could have changed these Big Grin )

Cheers

Dear all,

sometimes unsure how to deal with the documentation threads. They generally don't procure much response.

As in this case......

I know in the past there have been some bad hacks to the Wiki and that is not my intention.

Any changes I make will of course be editable and/or un-done but nice to just get it close on changes Wink

Due to lack of response guess I just go with previous stuff mentioned and any real negative response can be ignored due to complacency?

Won't change anything for 24 hours yet, but then will Big Grin

You will find most people really don't care how the wiki looks, so go ahead and make changes if you think they are improvements.

Thanks for your comment Fatman_Do.

I will carry on. I just find it strange that people complain about the Wiki...... but don't generally help it?

Obviously not you and some others :p

Two of the easiest things to do...
  1. Complain
  2. Do nothing about the complaint.
