I have a problem watching video files from a NAS (Netgear STORA) with GBPVR.

I can show the same file with GBPVR from HD and USB devices.
I can show the file from the NAS with MediaPlayer.

But if I try it with GBPVR from NAS some times the picture stops (audio is going on).

If picture stops the CPU power is low.

I try some different codecs but there is always the same result (Nvidia, ffdshow).

Based on your description, I can only guess your NAS isnt delivering the data at the rate that the directshow filters being used on the PC need for smooth playback.

What type of file was it?

Is the same symptom with .mpg, .divx, .wmv and .avi.

What is the difference between playing video with MediaPlayer and GBPVR?
Is there a video buffer in GBPVR that can overflow?

When it comes .ts or .mpg there are some slight differences. When it comes to other file types, like .divx, .wmv and .avi, there should be very little difference.

You should be able to reproduce the exact behaviour of GB-PVR by running graphedit, and selecting 'render media file' from the menu, then selecting your file, then hitting 'play'. For these other types of file, GB-PVR takes no part in the playback, and does pretty much these same steps I describe for graphedit. (it just calls the directshow 'rendermediafilter' api, then calls 'play').

I uninstall all graphic drivers (old onboard graphic) and reinstall the nvidia driver.
Now the videos plays much longer before it stops.

After reinstall I have only problems with avi and divx (but it's acceptable) and I can reproduce it with graphedit.
