I am not sure if I have seen this bug(?) reported before or not.

I have a season recurring recording "all episodes this channel" for Rough Science & it scheduled a recording tonight off TV6 from 8:30pm-9:00pm I then went to setup an "all this weekly timeslot" recording for James May's Big Ideas on SBS1 9:30pm-10:30pm & it came up with a conflict, when I checked the conflict it said it was conflicting with Rough Science, Huh?

The only way I found I could get rid of this conflict was to delete the "all this weekly timeslot" for the SBS1 recording & set it up as a "Record Once" recording & then it was happy........I just hope I remember to record the other two episodes in the next two weeks.

When setting up recurring recordings, the "timeslot" is set at (IIRC) -2 hours till +2 hours from the original slot. So any occurence detected within that "slot" will be recorded.

By trying to set a second season recording, both slots overlap because of that -2 +2 leeway.

If setting it for a record once, GB-PVR checks the EPG and the overlap is ignored because rough science's slot for that day is already known and does not conflict. But in the future they _MIGHT_ conflict, so he warns you about a possible conflict if trying to setup a second recurring.

So, not a bug... Let's call it cautious behaviour Big Grin

you can also try "re-prioritizing" the re-occuring shows as they get scheduled in the order shown in reoccurring screen...top of list gets scheduled first..
i've had rare occasions where the order alone would clear the conflict...
plus, it may clear up after next epg update when everything gets rescheduled..
but for tonights shows that won't help..
and you can also edit the time alotted for overlap in config.xml..
search for "timeslot" allowed variance..
think of it like a +/- on the exact scheduled time..

I haven't had much experience with conflicts as I took sub's advice & purchased lot's of tuners (analogue) but I only have one DVB-S tuner in the server.

I am sure it would clear up for next week but I have my doubts if it would have recorded tonight if I had left it the way it was?

Hmmm maybe a little bit over cautious don't you think? I would have no problem with the warning if I could have told it to just ignore the conflict & get on with doing it's job Wink
