i have two questions:

1. why can't i resume a recording while it's still in progress? i can only start watching from the begining, or resume after the recording is done.

2.how can i see the signal strength and quality of my dvb-t dongle? i know that it is being shown while scanning the channels, but i don't get any numbers in there.

Thanks,
Amit

In the GB-PVR Config utility on one of the 'Misc' tabs is 'Prompt for resume' check that setting. I think you'll find that will do what you're looking for.

no, that's not what i meant.

i can resume recordings, but not while they are in progress. there is no such option on the menu.

my question is - why?

To be honest I'm not sure, and I'm not able to test it here at the moment, but I can put it on my list to double check for the next release.

Unfortunately the only place you can see this is in the logs.

thanks sub, i'll be very grateful if you'll be able to add the option to resume a recording in progress, because i'm doing it alot and i have to skip forward to the point where i have stopped. it will be very helpful.

about the signal strength and quality - can you please tell me in which log file and where?

Thanks in advance,
Amit

GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log for recordings, or PVRX2.exe-native.log for live preview live tv.

for all of my recordings i get strength 40,000 or -40,000 and quality 0 or 100.

Some drivers dont report real quality or strength numbers, and instead just return hardcoded values depending on if there was a signal lock or not.
