Hi,

After fixing my problem with the TV guide, I tried to test the recording by doing a quick record just to see if the recording setup was ok but no luck. Nothing happens. I deactivate the firewall but still nothing happens. I am using Win7 with USBUIRT and an Hauppage HQ PVR. And by the way, I am trying to cancel the recording and I can't.

Any clues?

Thanks,

Did the virtual store directory get recreated, and does it have any files in it?

Delete those files.

Edit the properties of the "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.db3" file to set the security permissions to allow full access (read/write) to all users, and it'll hopefully stop virtual store copies of gbpvr.db3 from being created.

Thanks sub. I think it solve the problem. I only have to fix the sound in windows media player. when I play the recordings in VLC, everything is fine but when I play it in WMP, the picture is fin but the audio is like a "scratching" sound.

I would check if you have an AC3 dcecoder installed, and configured,

The scratchy sound can be the digital data being passed through as analog to your speakers.

What ac3 codec do you have installed (ac3filter is good, as is ffdshow)
