I am having problems with my recordings. I have many occurrences where the recording shows up in the list just fine but the file is 0 bytes. I am not sure if this is a reception issue or something else.

This latest issue is a little different but happens quite often also. Something appears to happen during recording and it stops recording but the recording service still show that it is recording. It will stay like this for hours until I restart the recording service. then it shows the tuner idle again.

I am not sure why I am having so many problems with my recordings. I am attaching some logs. This time it happened I actually had a recording conflict. This is not normally the case and it still happens the same. I started to have problems like this and my machine was just a little bogged down and needed to be cleaned up so I reinstalled windows and got everything set up again and i thought that I was good but it is having lots of problems.

Here is a quick rundown on my setup.
GBPVR Server - Windows XP GBPVR Version 1.4.7
GBVPR Client - Windows XP GBPVR Version 1.4.7
Popcorn Hour A110
HDHomeRun dual digital tuner (used for OTA, no cable/sat)
Firewall is turned off

I hope this is clear. Can anyone help?

Try setting the BDA Multiplexer to "TS Mux".

I changed it this morning. I will see if that helps. I was using an ATI mux. Is that problematic? I was thinking that the PCH had issues with the TS Mux but I tried live TV this morning using the TS Mux and it works fine. I guess I am confusing it with something else.

I actually recommend the TS Mux for mvpmcx2. PS mux'ing is not too bad in North America where it's primarily one video stream with ac3 audio but on DVB it is almost mandatory.

Thanks for the info. Do you think that the ATI Mux is causing my problems?

The broadcaster may have changed the audio/video pids. This would cause the ATI mux to record zero byte recordings. The TS Mux would still work correctly in this situation though.

now I have a couple recordings with the TS Mux and it works great on the PCH but the GBPVR Server freezes up when I try to watch them. My Client plays them with audio only. I changed the video decoder on my client and it plays fine. I will try that on my server too. I will need some time to see if my other issues are solved by using the TS Mux. I will reply in a week or so after I have some more recordings under my belt.

Thanks guys!

If you try playing one of those on the server, then post the pvrx2.exe-native.log, I'll take a look why.

I changed up my video decoders and now things are working great on the Server, Client and PCH. I still need to let it run for a week or so to see if all my recording problems go away. I have 6 or 7 recordings under my belt with the TS Mux now and all look good. I will update the thread at that time with my results

So far so good. I haven't had any issues since I changed over to the TS Mux. The ATI Mux must have been causing all my problems.

Thanks for your help!
