I am having issues with sound on my digital stations. I have a HVR 1600. When I go to the TV guide and select a digital station I have not sound but if I pause and then click play I have sound. If I record a digital station i have sound.

I have tried several different codec's and no change.

I am running XP and passing sound via optical to my receiver.

Thanks

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

I'm getting this too, but just on one mux. had been using mpa decoder for ages with no problems until we moved to a different transmiter. attached logs are with saf codec pack installed instead, but same problem.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I'd see if setting the audio renderer back to 'system default' helps. You've currently got it set to 'DirectSound: SoundMAX Digital Audio'.

The logs doent show the mpa audio decoder. They show ffdshow.

In your logs it shows audio PID 602 was what was mapped for this channel. When you press pause it dynamically detects the correct audio pid is 601.

You'll probably need to remap that frequencies channels.

It seems to do that if I rescan a capture source ... I get the correct audio only from the "automatic" scan that it does immediately after adding a source.

Sorry it took so long! Spring Break has slowed everything down. I repeated the problem last night at around 22:31 in the log. I clicked on a digital channel and had video but no audio. When I paused it and then started it again it now has audio.

Thanks for your help in advance.
