I recall there was once a low, medium, high quality options for recording, I can't seem to find them; did they get removed at some stage?
I am trying to see if reduce the recording quality will stop my recording from stuttering, I may have a dying hard drive and I figure this is a way to test at lower quality.

Cheers

This can be done when setting up the source or when scheduling a recording. When you schedule a recording, do not select Quick Record. You will see a choice for 'Quality' Use your right arrow keys to scroll thru the choices.

Recording qualities are only ever applied to analog recording. If you dont have any analog capture sources (so no chance it'll end up being recorded on an analog capture source), then it doesnt bother showing the quality option when scheduling a recording.

Digital recordings are always at whatever quality the broadcaster encodes at.

Thanks guys,

That explains why I used to see it many moons ago. (PVR150) and why I don't have it now (HVR3000 DVB-S).
The recording issues started probably around a year ago (I know, I'm very slow to get it looked at)
I am now wondering if the issue is there was a change to the broadcase bitrate bu freeview back then as it was working perfectly then went bad and stayed bad.
Clean install has ended me in the same position :-(

I could a;ways try recording using another app to prove the hardware versus application just in case.

Thanks

Its more likely to be related to the decoder you're using. ie, try playing one of your .ts recordings in VLC or another player.
