I've been searching on similar posts and trying everything suggested, including SAF4.0, SAF5.0, and disabling the MS Media Foundation splitter.

Using MPV Decoder and AC3Filter, I can play a video with AC3 audio by using the Video Library option on a local .ts file, but it doesn't work over the network. What do I try next?

I pulled the .ts file over the network into GraphStudio and it played fine using the .ts file - MPV decoder for video and and MPA decoder/AC3filter for audio (graphstudio.jpg)

Running GraphStudio with GBPVR running (using the register entry from the wiki) gives a much different graph. GB-PVR TS Reader - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer then ac3 filter on the ac3 pin, MPA decoder/ac3 filter on the audio pin and MPV decoder on the video pin. Same graph for both the local .ts (works) and over the network (doesn't work). (GBPVR.jpg)

That GB-PVR graph looks correct.

If you copy the file from the remote machine, to the clients hard drive, does it do the same thing?

The full .ts file plays fine if I play it from the client's local hard drive - no sound if I play it from the server. The graph is the same from either location.

If I use VideoRedo and save the .ts file as .mpg, then it plays correctly from the server.

Both in PVRX2? That makes no sense.

Post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log, showing attempts to play the same file both locally and remotely, and I'll see if I can spot what is different in the two sets of logs.

Files attached. I played same file locally then remotely. Local had sound; remote didn't.

To be honest, I dont know. Those two attempts in the logs look the same to me.

I'd start by trying other decoders, and it may not be the AC3 decoder causing it, so also try changing the MPEG1 Layer 2 audio decoder too.

Looks like this is a wifi issue. Audio works pretty well on a lan connection, but not wireless n. I saw the following on another post:

I don't think its directly a bandwidth issue, its more on the latency side of things.

Anyone have wireless settings that seem to help - RTS or Fragmentation thresholds? In the meantime, I'll look into the web interface.

You have no issues with .ts ac3 sound? I have no issues with analog recordings. I've tried a number of different audio decoders for .ts ac3. What decoder are you using?
