Hi,

is it possible to record direct to mpg-files? I can't fast forward/wind back in PowerDVD when i play ts-files. I must first demux the file with projectx and cut with cuttermaran to become a mpg-file.

Is there no easy way to record directly as mpg?

Thanks

Volker

You will need to install a muxer to create the mpg file ...

Thanks, i try it now.

I read the last pages of both links, but i don`t understand what the discussion about the installed muxes helps me to solve my problem?

Can you explain me a bit more what i have to do? I read in the forum entries that TS MUX is enough and that it is included in GBPR, so i don't no what to do.

Thanks

If you go to the Misc2 tab in the config app, do you have any options in the BDA Multiplexer: drop down box (other than TS Mux or Full TS)?

Yes, there is Microsoft DVR-MS.

I think that i have understood the system. I read about the ati avivo and load them down. After installation i have a new possibility in the drop down box and choosen it. Now it is a mpg-file. But i thought i can't FF also in the mpeg?

I use the Cyberlink mux which was part of the PowerDVD package.

couple of things :
no multirecord if you use a mux to record in mpeg
if your signal is a bit weak i have found the recordings can be crap
where as ts is pretty forgiving

ts skip in power dvd (page up/ down) then change the skip to 30 seconds config> player>advanced(bottom)> keyboard/mouse settings.skip 30 secs or what ever you want

maybe not ideal for you but thought you may not know you could do this
