Hi

Just started using GBPVR a week or so ago with a WinXP box (SP3 on Core 3 Duo E6850 at 3 GB, 3GB ram).

The card is a USB TVR900H. Using it mainly to record Freeview.

So far I really like the program!

Recording works file if account stays logged in (or off). However, on logoff writing to disk stops. When logging in again, GBPVR reports recording is still taking place, but no more is written to disk. I have searched the forums and web and cannot find an answer.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Ken

Okay, some more information. I am using the latest version 1.4.7.

Some experimenting shows that the file stops growing when a user logs on, but continues okay through logoff. I have tried changing the mux.

Any ideas?

Solved!

Unfortunately, it may have been one of two things. I reinstalled the drivers and codecs, although I do not think that was what worked.

The other thing I found was a "device monitor", I think installed by ArcSoft when I installed a trial copy of MediaConverter 4 (trying to find a way of converting NZ Freeview ts files to mpeg with sound; found now HandBrake works). It put an entry in the startup folder for all users. I think it is what was stopping the writing to disk on login.

Cheers, Ken
