I have a Medion PC MD 8838 with Vista 32 and the built in TV card is SAA7231 Triple Capture Device from Creatix. On the roof I have a 90 cm dish with 2 Universal LNB´s (1 for ASTRA and 1 for Hotbird) in a multifeed holder and a 60 cm dish with one Universal LNB. The dishes are connected to DiSEqC switches so that I could have 4 Koax connections inhouse.
Since about one year I watch all three satellites on my PC with the built in Media Center with no problems. But from the beginning I didn´t liked it too much. Than I heard about GB-PVR and I thougt to give it a try.
Installation worked fine. But than I had to learn that my TV card is not supported. But thanks to your excellent WIKI I found out how to add a not supported capture card. The modified BDA.ini is included in the attached zip-file.
After modifying the BDA.ini I started the config program. Here comes what I did:
I got to Capture Sources tab
I entered a name for my capture card
I picked the Digital Recording Plugin as the Recording Source
I clicked "Settings" for the Recording Source
In the upcoming window I picked as Device Type "SAA7231 Triple Capture Device DVB-S"
As Device Number I picked "1"
As Satellite I picked Astra 1E, 1F, ......
As DiSEqC I picked A
Than I hit the OK button 3 times and
the Digital Channel Mapping screen popped up with the arrow changing in to a sand clock.
But nothing happend. After about 15 minutes I killed GB-PVR with strg-alt-del.
Unfortunately I don´t have a screenshot of the Digital Channel Mapping window and I also can´t get to it anymore. When I start GB-PVR config now and hit the Capture Sources tab it looks like the screenshot enclosed to the attached zip file. Also enclosed is a screenshot of the recording source and the source configuration window as well as the logfile.
I also searched the support forum but I coudn´t find a similar problem. Therefore I would be very grateful if someone could give me a hint whether I did something wrong or how to solve this problem in order to get GB-PVR running. Thank you very much.
A nice weekend for everybody.
