i'm having a hard time installing softpvr also..
i found my original pvr150 card cd, but the download still says no driver found, [pvr150 died long time ago] and aborts install..there is no softpvr on my original cd tho..
i have an old softpvr install, but it won't upgrade it..
so i'm at a loss...

shouldn't there be some easier way to get at least the mux? as it is required for the app to do analog at all..

I'm sure in the next few days, someone will upload it somewhere, much like happended with the Cyberlink and ATI mux filters in the past.

It'd be nice if I could include it with the install, but I am obviously not in the position to license it. I probably endup writing my own mux filter that can perform this role, but I wouldnt count on that appearing in the next couple of months, so people will just have to "find a way" for now. Most analog users here are Hauppauge device owners though, and will have what they need once they install WinTV7.

I'm having the same problem. I also using a Hauppauge PVR150mce low profile card and this did not come with SoftPVR. Will wait and see if one emerges online...

"just for you" I've gone through the rigmarole of installing wintv7 - whata pain, needs a qualifying product for an upgrade and my old PVR150 cd wasn't good enough.

Anyways, there was only one single file in the softpvr directory so here it is if of any use.

hcw_mcmpeg2mux.ax
MPEG Multiplexer-Plus DS Filter
7.6.0.37081 2008/10/06

Or is the full softmce thingie required?

But the PVR150 has a HW encoder? Than you don't need anything else but the mux martint123 posted.

Thanks martint123 and Reddwarf. After registering the mux a device appeared in the devices tab. I unfortunately wasn't able to configure it sufficently to get livetv going. I did however just notice an error in the log file.
2010-06-14 23:54:07.921 [ERROR][1] Unable to find named decoder

Will try again tomorrow. It's a bit too late to focus.
