I thought I'd start analogue and let the digital side settle down first Smile but...

I get an exception during setup and snow on teh screen when watching. Steps taken:-

setting, devices, analogue PVR USB2 AVS, device setup, add
number = 22 (I'm guessing this is the channel number ???
name=bbc2
source=tuner.
OK, OK - the second OK gives the exception. I cant find a crash file anywhere, JIT text in the zip.
Press continue.
TVGuide - this displays oddly due to the small (1) number of channels (screendump attached).
selecting the channel shows a snowy picture and the log looks like it is picking channel 0.
Am I putting the channel number on the wrong place?

thanks for your time.

Based on past experience with GB-PVR, typically when you get the type of error shown in that crash message, its caused by a badly named filter on your machine. I've made a small change in the attached patch which will hopefully stop it causing an error.

The TV Guide always shows a channel all the rows, even if it means having to loop around. In this case you've only got one channel, so its looped around many times showing that same channel over and over. The problem will go away when you eventually add your full list of channels.

thanks the prompt reply,
Unfortunately it still crashed when exiting the analogue setup screen.
Also you never mentioned the problem of it tuning to channel 0 rather than the 22 entered.

This test machine could well be overloaded with unused filters.
If I get some time tomorrow, I'll try to get rid of filters and see which one may be upsetting it. Is DirectShowFileterManager a suitable tool to kill them off??
ta.
