It looks like the sort order for What's New has reversed since 1.5.19? It's now showing oldest first. I know you'll be adding sort options later on, but it seems it ought to show newest first until then? Or is there a button to change the sort I just don't know about?

Also, a minor grammatical thing, N-PVR is displaying "Whats New" without an apostrophe, it should be "What's New".

Also, should I be able to reduce the What's New days, or is that not implemented yet? I set What's New Days to 2 in Settings, but it's still showing 7 days of programs.

The attached patch should correct the What's New days.

I'll check the sorting tomorrow.

Thanks for the patch, I'll give it a try.

Regarding the sort order, I just stumbled across the sorting option.... I didn't even realize you'd had time to put it in (I guess it was so last-minute it didn't even make your changelog?). It seems to work fine for the What's New list (so I have that back in date-descending order), but only partially works for the Ready list. The Ready list does change sort order when I hit Sort, but the sort isn't completely correct - some of the items are in order, others aren't. I'll post a screen shot when I get a chance.

ok, I figured out what the Ready list sort-by-date-descending is doing: It's showing the wrong date for Latest Recording; it's actually showing the date of the Earliest Recording in each group, but it's properly sorting by the Latest Recording Date. So the list looks out-of-order... the sort is right, the displayed date is wrong.

The displayed "Latest Recording Date" is correct for the other 3 sort modes.

The sort-by-date-ascending mode for the Ready list also doesn't seem right... it sorts by the oldest recording in each group, but shows the date of the Latest Recording. So again the list really doesn't look sorted, but it is. I'm not sure what's right for that sort option though... I can't even think of a reason why I would want the Ready list sorted by date-ascending, but I suppose as soon as you take it away someone will say "Hey, why can't I sort the Ready list by date-ascending!?!?!?". So I'm not sure whether it should sort by the Latest Recording Date, or by the Earliest Recording Date... but if it's the latter it should display "Earliest Recording Date" in that mode rather than "Latest" (ie, whatever it sorts by should be what it displays).

Finally, may I respectfully suggest you assign Ctrl-B to the sort function? You have it as Ctrl-S in the KeyMappings.xml, but that's Stop everywhere else, and using the Stop button to change the sort order isn't obvious or convenient. Most everyone already has Ctrl-B mapped on their remote as the OSD toggle, and I believe GB-PVR used Ctrl-B to change display modes on some screens as well.

I realize of course the sort option is a work-in-progress that you may not have even been ready to have me playing with yet, so I apologize if my critiques are pre-mature.

Regarding the What's New Days setting, no change with the patch. Yes, I did shutdown the recording service before copying in the new file. It still shows 7 days, despite my change to 2 and then to 3 days.

No big deal for me though, I was mostly changing it to avoid excess scrolling when I thought it was stuck sorted oldest-first. Now that I can get it sorted back to newest first it doesn't really matter how many days it shows.

I knew there was still a couple of problems with it, so I didnt bother publicising this change.

Many new MCE remotes, including those supplied by Hauppauge, dont have a the coloured keys anymore, so I didnt want to sign any function to the red/green/blue/yellow keys.

Except you do already have Ctrl-B assigned to the Show OSD function in the keymappings file...

What MCE remote button shows the OSD in absence of Ctrl-B? On my MCE remote, none of the buttons do it by default so I kept the same button mapped to Ctrl-B that I had in GB-PVR, the button with the lower-case 'i' on it.

Also, do we have access to the mapping of MCE remote buttons to N-PVR functions? In GB-PVR it was a hard-coded library that we couldn't control.
