Help wanted with svideo capture from HVR-2200

I have a 2200 that I want to use for svideo capture. The 2200 appears to be OK for digital input. If I set the recording source for "Digital Recording Plugin" and go through the setup routine, I can get the digital TV channels, although for some reason only about 1/4 of the channels have been automatically detected. Using WMC, I get all channels detected. To capture svideo I have tried setting the Recording Source to "Analog HighDef Recording Plugin". I then go to settings. The "Capture Card Type" only shows "Hauppauge WinTV HD-PVR" (not 2200 nor anything else). There is a choice of input sources and I select "SVideo". When I click on OK I get "The drivers for this device you have configured do not seem to be installed...." If I continue anyway, the configuration completes but I don't get any svideo signal. If I choose "Analog Recording Plugin", I get what appears to be the setup for anlaogue TV + svideo and composite options. I have tried them all. I don't get the driver error but nor do I get any picture at all for any of them. Any suggestions?

You shouldnt be choosing "Analog HighDef Recording Plugin" since that is only for the HDPVR. Your 2200 cant capture high definition analog. Instead you need to use the "Analog Recording Plugin" option.

I have also tried "Analogue Recording Plugin". When I choose this option I don't get the driver error but nor can I receive any signal. I have tried to set this up for just TV but can't get any signal.

Try viewing live tv to view channel setup with the analog recording plugin, then post the logs and I'll take a look.

Thanks for your reply. I can't even view any analogue channels nor make any log files. I can set the digital channels and view them although I can't find any log files. Where are they supposed to be? I have verified the analogue tuners are working by using WMC.

I know you cant view analog channels, but its the failure I wanted to see in the logs.

The GBPVR logs are in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\logs

I tried again with the logs. I select a log file (config.exe.log), click on upload and evenmtually get a message that says "invalid file". How do you upload logs?

You need to zip the file before uploading it.

OK, trying again and
thankyou for your patience.

1) Before doing anything I deleted all the files I could in the log directory (there are 3 files that are shown as "in use" and can't be deleted).
2) Run config.exe and select "digital recording". Map all the channels config can find. For some reason it can only detect digital channels from station "channel 7". There are a total of 6 stations detectable in Perth, most having least 4 digital channels.
3) Start PVRX2.exe and confirm I can view a digital channel (I can).
4) Run config.exe again. Select "Analogue Recording" and configure for Australia. I don't get any offer to check for analogue channels.
5) Start PVRX2.exe to see if I can view anything but I can't
6) Zip log directory.

Prior to installing PBPVR I installed the tuner card driver from the DVD supplied with the card and then I went to the Hauppauge web site and downloaded the latest drivers for a 2200.
