We have Windows XP Pro, Diamond multi-media Xtreme TV 552 PVR card(PCI card), and PVR doesn't seem to recognize the card or devices, there is no option to enable it. We have downloaded the new NPVR onto the computer, and have taken off GB-PVR, and when we go to the Device Tab to Device Setup there is no card listed.. .and no way to click on Device Setup.. Please help,

Is that an analog capture card? Somewhere in the forum announcement of the original beta of N-PVR (definitely documentation is something N-PVR desparately needs), sub says that to capture from analog sources, you need to install the latest Hauppauge drivers, even if you don't have a Hauppauge card, since it uses some of its components. You can try getting it from their site, but I don't know whether it'll install for you if you don't have a Hauppauge card. I do have one, as do apparently most of N-PVR's analog users, so once I upgraded to their latest software everything started working great for me.

Someone else on the forum may be willing to help you get just the files you need, although doing so may be legally dubious.

From the release notes

Quote:"Unfortunately this requires the Hauppauge SoftPVR components to be on the users machine. The majority of analog users here have Hauppauge cards, so most likely already have access to this. It does also work with non-Hauppauge cards, but you'll need to find your own source of SoftPVR. ie, a Hauppauge user to zip up their "C:\Program Files\WinTV\WinTV7\SoftPVR" directory for you, copy it to your machine, then regsvr32 the .ax files.
