I upgrade to v 1.5.31 and started having a aspect ratio problem when viewing .mpg, .ts and .m2ts videos. I'm probably one of the few people still using VMR7 but before the upgrade everything worked fine. Now, everytime I watch a video, I have to use F7 to cycle through the aspect ratios back to auto to get the screen correct.

I tried using cyberlinks and arcsoft decoder but they return the same results.

Is there a setting in the config file to force it to act like it did in v 1.5.28

Thanks.

While I haven't tested it specifically, it seems I've noticed that too - when it starts playing the aspect ratio is wrong, but appears to be set to Auto; if I cycle around back to Auto again the aspect ratio is correct.

Yep, same here.

What aspect ratio is your tv, and what aspect ratio is the source material when you notice this problem?

My TV is 4:3, and I'm pretty sure I've seen this with 16:9 and 2.33:1 source material. I'm off to bed now, but I can probably provide logs tomorrow... better yet, make Northpole do it, he started it!

My tv is 4:3 and the source that is shown wrong is always 16:9.

Sub,

I have a 16x9 display and I have the problem on both 16x9 and 4x3 content. Previously, they both played correctly.

Thinking about it I may have the problem only with H.264 channels, not sure but I'll check.

I have a 16:9 and see this same problem. I think it's been reported in a couple of different threads. Maybe it is specific to XP?
