I have USBUIRT working from the command line but I am having trouble getting it to change the channels on my STB within NPVR. I do not even see it trying. Here is what I use at the command lline USBUIRTSend.exe "C:\npvr\fios.dat" 018 and it will change to channel 18.

Here is what I have under Channel Changer.
Executable: C:\Program Files (x86)\npvr\USBUIRTSend.exe
Arguments: "C:\npvr\fios.dat" {channel} (including the quotes)

Here are the instructions I am using http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...light=uirt

Reposted here:
Place a copy of usbuirtsend.exe in a convenient folder
Place a copy of your existing IR Definition in a convenient folder
If your definition file is **.txt rename it **.dat
Add usbuirtsend.exe to the Executable
In the arguments type in quotes the dat file location (eg "C:\Program Files\NPVR\IR Definitions\VBox.dat" {channel})
Change the channel Number from 1-? to the numbers required by your set top box (eg 101, 102, 103 etc) The Tuner-Channel: number will be changed after you click OK

Here is what I have in the settings:

Try watching some channels, then post the npvr.log and nrecord.log and I'll take a look.

You'll also need to post the nrecord.log

Try this again. A little more information in the log this time, record, quick record, watch, etc.

It looks like it's running your configured blaster.

yes but nothing happens. I do not see any red lights coming from the blaster. Like I said it works when I use the command prompt just not in NPVR. One easy question for you. How do I tell it that it needs to send three digits. If I enter 018 in the channels setup the leading zero always gets dropped when I save.

The biggest difference is the recording service is running under the localsystem account, so it might not be able to access C:\npvr\fios.dat or something like that.

You could try killing NRecord.exe and NextPVR.exe, then just start NextPVR.exe, which will cause it to start a local version of the recording service, running as the logged in user. See if it has any better luck using the USB-UIRT.

This would need to be a feature of the blaster software you're using. Some utilities have command line parameters for this type of thing.
