Simple use case:

at first i removed a channel from my digital channel list (capture sources tab) and added another one instead. The channels in the channels tab did not recognize it, or better the old deleted one is still visible (the new one has been added). A selection of the button remove unreferenced channels did not remove anything.
Later in addition i removed a complete analog recording plugin, again all channels are still visible in channels tab and cannot be removed! What am i doing wrong? what do i have to do? i am using 1.4.7. on windows 7 pro 64 bit. Is it a bug?

It'll only remove a channel if its no longer referenced, ie no capture sources have that channel, and no recordings in the database are linked to that channel.

You can only remove an unreferenced channel if it is literally unreferenced anywhere in the database. That means no completed recordings, no pending recordings, no recurring recordings, no EPG data, nothing.

edit: lol, jinx!

You can change the numbers in the channels tab though - so what I do is put in a higher number for the channel I no longer want, say 300, and then use the original channel number for the new channel before saving- this way I keep the EPG in the order I want. So long as you have unchecked the unwanted channel in all your capture sources, and emptied / reloaded your EPG data, then it won't show up in your EPG anyway.

thx for the answers. This could explain some things. Later i recognized, that in deed only few channels of the old plugin are still available, not all! I unchecked them now and set channelnumber to 0, this is not a problem, is it?
