Hi sub!

Just playing around with the new Technisat CableStar HD 2. Setup and configuration went fine so far, i can view SD and HD channels (unencrypted) without any problems.

I just did a new channelsearch and ran epg update. A few frequencies was scanned without any problems, then just *plop* a message windows appears "nPVR just crashed..."

Ok, here are the logs and the crashdumpfile. This is the first dvb related crash on this system.

I loaded up the dump file in the debugger, but it doesnt show any clear cause.

Is it always a specific channel its scanning when the crash happens? If so, I might need to get you to collect a full transport stream so I can take a look here.

This is a good question. I just tried a 2nd scan. While i didn't wrote down the frequence of the 1st crash, i did it this time: 466000/6900 SID:28486 (1 sec remaining). I will try more scans.
EDIT: As far as i can see within the channelslist, this freq ist the 2nd to the last of the saved channels.

Yep, it's reproducable at the same channel. You can download the 2nd to the last and last channel from my ftp if you want:

SR Fernsehen | Freq:466000/6900 SID:28486

BR-alpha | Freq:466000/6900 SID:28487

Are these full transport stream recordings? (like "full ts" in GBPVR)

I hope so. To say the truth: I don't know. I have just recorded 1-2 minutes of a tv show on both channels. With default settings. In the case npvr shouldn't record full transport stream recordings... which software would do this? Like mentioned before: I have absolutely no experience with this digital stuff.

No, those are partial transport streams, with much of the info thrown away.

You can either use GBPVR with the 'Full TS' option, to record a minute of a tv show on that frequency.

Alternatively, create a c:\temp\live\ directory, and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\RecordFullTS=1, then start the application and watch a tv show on that frequency for a minute.

Done, but these filese are 5 times bigger, than the other ones (~ 250 MB). It could take a little to download them (just 1 Mb/s UL).

Unfortunately I dont seem to have the problem when I update the EPG from those streams.

What version of Windows are you using?

I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64-Bit. No codecpacks or something similar. It's the mainserver with a few programs/services. No other program than nPVR accesses the tv-cards.
