LiveTV.xml OSD + Remove LetterBox Problem

For some reason when I put the screen in "Remove LetterBox" aspect ratio, the Live TV OSD shrinks horizontally. It almost looks as if the OSD is going into "PillarBox" aspect ratio while the Picture is going into "Remove LetterBox" aspect ratio. It looks like this is the same no matter what skin I use.

This is a side effect of the method sub uses to enable negative aspect ratio modes with the EVR renderer. There is no way to correct it. Sub was hesitant to put this fix in, since it does mess with the OSD sizing, but some users (me included) bugged him until he relented.

Oh, that sux. What I'm wondering now is if everybody just puts up with the OSD looking like that or if they all have cable companies that give them HD without stupid cable boxes.. because I have to use the "remove letterbox" aspect ratio on all cable channels or else the picture is way smaller than my screen. Are you watching the SD versions of channels or the HD?

I use a HDPVR and get all channels in HD and the PCH doesn't have the limitation that the PC has for full screen OSD but I still find the smaller OSD acceptable on expanded SD channels. If compare NPVR with my cable STB which also shrinks the OSD, I am pretty happy. (except I wouldn't mind a return of the channel number like in PVRx2).
