Hi

Can someone take a glance at these logs. All I did was update the graphics driver and it broke. I tried reinstalling but no dice.

Thanx

It looks like you've got a capture source configured for a device that isnt present in your machine (or the drivers are not installed for that device):

Device manager shows it (asus pe9400) as installed and wmc7 uses it fine. I did an uninstall of the drive and had windows detect it again (scan hardware changes) and reinstalled the driver, and then reconfigured config.exe. no dice baffling

The drivers you're using may not match the filter names used for this device in the bda.ini file. ie, you've selected a device which is defined as having a component called '7164 BDA Analog Xbar', but that component is not found on your machine. Your device may be using some other name.

Run the filtercheck.exe utility from the gbpvr directory, then post the filtercheck.log and I'll check the names. Or try NPVR, since it doesnt rely on this hardcoded device definitions like GBPVR.

The '7164 BDA Analog Xbar' filter is present, but I can see it's unable to find the pins on it, which effecively makes it unusable to GB-PVR.

I do remember see discussion aout this once in the past on the Hauppauge UK forums, but I cant remember the exact details. It was something to do with some software breaking some of the directshow components, and requiring ksproxy.ax and other windows components to be reregistered. Unfortunately this isnt really something I can help you with - outside my area of expertise.

Not sure how to update WIN7 DX. Besides...I had a similar problem with a Hauppauge 1600. I beleive it has to do with the 64bit OS. And that I wont change. Guess I am just stuck with WMC7 which works fine but records in that stupid WTV format. Thank you
