I live in the university dormitory. In the beginning of term I left a cake in the fridge and the next day I discovered it had been stolen. Recently, the thieving has intensified. Only last week someone stole my food three times. Some other students have had it even worse. Pizza, fruits, desserts, yoghurt and eggs have vanished from our fridge. What’s more, a cettle and a frying pan have also been stolen from the kitchen. Some senior students said it was the same thing a year ago, and they had no idea whether it was someone from the school or an outsider. This gets everyone annoyed to the max and the atmosphere between students is tense. Can anyone suggest anything that could be done?

really? we've seen this trick before. I have no idea why you think it will help the spam you post later on live more than about 30 seconds. sure, it's possible you're just nuts, so I won't delete your post or ban you just for being nuts. but later, when you post the spam, or put spam links in your signature, it'll all be gone in a few seconds. as a bonus, I will have enjoyed it. Smile

Man, you're like like a spam terminator. If there was a smiley for scared I would use it right now after reading that, a little world weariness but very menacing...! lol

Also, I would hope real uni students could spell kettle.

what can I say? spammers just put me in a mood.

and I suspect forzaKGB is right. if you're going to steal a frying pan, best to have something to put in it.

edit: look, this is post number 2112 for me. such a nice number... I mustn't rush into making another post, and spoil such a perfect number. it's not as if my life-blood would spill over, but still...

edit 2: @ACTCMS - now if i make a new post to explain it and increment my post count, everything would be ruined and I'd be in tears; i've learned the lessons that you can't get something for nothing. someone will be along soon who gets this particular aspect of my personal twilight zone. kinda funny all this is in a thread started by a nutty spammer who's more likely from Bangkok than "ewccw"

edit 3: comment from juozapasnanda: who are we calling nuts here?

edit 4: and the cookie goes to pcostanza Wink... an american or canadian would be a lot more likely to get it than a scot; my limey brother-in-law knows of Rush, but said they were never as big in the UK as they are here (or apparently in Rio)

What's so special about 2112 (apart from being palindromic)?

I'm guessing he gave us a hint about the number 2112......when he said "I mustn't rush into making another post".....RUSH has an awesome album titled 2112. I'm a huge Rush fan so that number stuck way out to me. He may not want to make another post in order to keep that number for awhile, Smile|

i had a science teacher who cranked up 'the trees' from 2112 to study as an example of eco relationships..Big Grin
loud enough to hear all over campus..they were so jealous! lol
very imaginative songwriting on that one..all good songs..

now all Johnson needs is a "Smack!" sound effect for the spammers...hehe
