Hi
I'm using a hauppauge 45button remote and built a new mediacenter. With GBPVR I used the native Ms Remote Control commands, described here:

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/MCE-nosoft

With NPVR some mysteries occur:
- The "*" & the "#" button give a 3 or 8 instead of an F7 for the "*" button.
- When pressing the green button, an exception is generated the the application crashes.
- The coloured buttons don't work at all, no respons.

Strange behaviour; using NPVR .36 on exact same system (win7 32bit - hauppauge changer - ...) Only difference is NPVR <=> GPVR.

Anyone ?

What remote do you have exactly? Can post a link to a picture of it? You mention MCE remote, but the Hauppauge '45 button' remote is normally the retail non-mce remote.

3 plus shift = # and 8 plus shift = * so looks like it's just not added shift modifier?
what codes do you have for those keys?
or are you just using reg file from wiki as-is?

Assuming you do in fact have the hauppauge 45-button remote using the hauppauge ir program, then help can probably be found here: http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...ot-working

edit: though maybe that doesn't make sense, since you've pretty specifically linked to pBS's thread about MCE remotes.

I'm using the hauppauge remote shipped with ex HVR-2200, see attached pic.

And yep, with GBPVR I used the .reg file (attached) from wiki, tried that with NPVR aswell, but not all keys work. Euh, shift modifier ?

And johnsonx42, I don't use the irremote.ini or ir32.exe. I use the hauppauge remote, but using a pinnacle analog tuner card.

ok, yeah, that's an MCE remote... I suppose it might have 45 buttons, but it's not what we call a "hauppauge 45-button remote".

pBS is the one to help with this I guess.

Was there resolution to this? I've recently got the same MCE, and never had it integrated it with GBPVR. I used to use the IRBlaster but no longer. So, how does this MCE integrate with GBPVR/NPVR?

for the most part it ought to just work, as NPVR reads the MCE remote events directly. I use EventGhost to map the few buttons that NPVR doesn't recognize by default (which are likely different for my MCE remote than for yours).

LMRemote is another option to map events.
