Recording video clips without an EPG entry results in an empty file

Recording video clips without an EPG entry results in an empty file called "(no show details)_20101214_19302000.ts", recording with a valid EPG Entry works fine, but unfortunately for some reason not all of the channels update on N-PVR, both problems have been there in all versions including 1.5.36.
I record using a FireDTV DVB-C tuner, the problem is danish channels dr1 and dr2.

Have you tried using Manual Recording and give it a name?

I was not aware that it was possible to give it a name, but i will try that.

And i cannot find anywhere to give it a name, but i discovered an interesting thing and that is the live tv part doesn't work either with thoose two channels, just the two all the others are working fine. They are not scrambled but they did appear twice in the EPG list, could that be the reason why they don't work?
(also they work fine on the builtin DVB-C decoder on the tv)

If you press "Home" in Recordings screen, you get a menue at the tor of the screen. Select "Man-Rec", on the third line you can type a name for your recording.
I'v no idea why those channels should not work, maybe try and delete them and scan again in Settings -> Device setup.

I can't answer the question why yours does not work, but I have recorded from the EPG with "no show details" and got a good recording with a name similar to the one you quoted.
