OK, rebooted. NVPR service installed (yay!). Not starting... getting "Error 3: The system cannot find the path specified" (nooo!)... my subst'd c: drive coming back to haunt me perhaps? Hmmm.... maybe it's time for a rebuild and getting rid of GBPVR permanently, and committing to NVPR. Many thanks for pointing out stuff so far... if that crash.mdmp isn't obvious, don't worry too much about it. I think it's rebuild time, 'cause that subst c: has caused other issues, and may be causing issues here (I can't remember exatcly why my system is H:\.... it was something like being due to windows not installing off cd, so I copied files to a small partition (which took c & installed windows to a new partition (not c:!)... something like that!), so if it isn't a quick fix that you can see, forget it, and i'll rebuild. You must be a busy man, and I don't want to take too much of your time.
