does NPVR support AVerMedia HD DVR?

hello, i have a HD capture box from AVermedia (http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/Product/...spx?Id=520), something works like Hauppague HDPVR (i suspect that they are somehow the same hardware inside). Anyway I tried it on NPVR a month ago, unfortunately nothing show in the Device page. I will try again in few days, but it will be nice if someone may help and give some advice if possible. Thanks

Just curious, why won't it work? Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are great reasons. Just trying to learn more. A lower price alternative to the hd-pvr would be great.

The Hauppauge HDPVR, Hauppauge Colossus and AverMedia HD-DVR devices are quite different from transitional capture devices, and need extra custom code to be written to get them to work. I'd probably be able to add support for the AverMedia HD-DVR relatively easily, but not without one here to experiment with.
