TS files streaming to Toshiba TV via Win 7 Media player

I havejust purchased a Toshiba 1080P TV which has built in media streaming that connects to Win 7 media player.

When I try to stream HD TS files recorded from BBC using NPVR edited in VRD the picture size is reduced as the TV detects them as 4:3 .

The same files play ok via my WDlive streamer again using Win 7 media player.

The cause appears to be the way Windows media player streams TS files as I have seen the same problem with a Zyxel streamer. WTV files appear to work !!!

Has anyone found a solution to this problem .

Do you need to use WMP to stream? Serviio makes a very nice UPnP server that seems to have targeted support for lots of TV's.

My first attempts failed with the TV although it did work fine with my WDlive streamer.
Will try again at the weekend and report back
