NPVR has been working for about a week just fine in win7 for me.

I went to manually record a program today and because we can not specify the time directly I choose 6:20 for the program to start recording, it was already 6:21. Immediately after hitting okay the service changed the channel and the Next PVR interface crashed. I thought that was all, seems the service crashed as well. I restarted the service from the try icon and it changed channels again. I went to look for the file and could not find it.

After looking I looked at the service directly and noticed it not running, when I ran it, it would change channels and then stop again and windows would tell me so.

win7, UAC on
pvr 350
HD-PVR installed and not setup in nextPVR

P.S. I got a prompt that that next PVR wanted to access the network, this is most likely because a few days ago I enabled the web portal, I did allow access to private and public networks. Also while I'm at it does or will Next PVR support Colossus?

P.P.S. Sorry I saw this post http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post406854 , Should I apply this patch as well, I believe I'm using version 2.0.3

Try that patch mentioned below to see if helps with your PVR350. Also be careful not have other TV software running that accesses your PVR350, even if not using the PVR350 at the same time. The PVR250/350 are very picky about this.

Nextpvr.exe and nrecord.exe communicate via TCP/IP, which might have triggered your firewall?

Yes it does.

Yeah, I would.

I didn't not have another program running, the only other software that could access would be Media Center and I haven't even fired that up yet.

I know first hand that if you have two programs accessing the card you will get a double sized recording that is 100% useless!

I will patch and update when I get home, I get the feeling that it might return to normal after that recording was set to be over.

I replaced the unmanaged DLL while the service was off, however I forgot to stop the program. I have setup another recording that would start 7 minutes in the past and this time the program did not crash but the record service still does. Second log attached.

Looks like the same problem that I'm having. Discussion is in the thread "NextPVR Has Stopped Working" 2.0.3

I have a PVR350. The "error" seems to happen once a day sometime between 1 and 3AM. It takes a reboot to clear.

Did you follow the wiki link on how to setup analog cards? Did you do an uninstall and remove the NPVR folder before upgrading? If so you might have to go back to wiki.

Okay, let me explain this build and why I didn't include all that information. This is a new build OS and all its only about 2 weeks old.

Yes I followed the analog card instructions, I went the registering of the filters route and have stated that NPVR has been recording just fine for about a week. It was fine all the way until this past Monday is when I did my last record. This only happened today when I tried to schedule a manual recording with a start time that has already happened.

I tried to do a quick record but I clicked the wrong show that was running and not one that was forth coming. I can't test this again until 8PM CT tonight as I can't start the service while a record is pending. I will try first a live view test, set a future recording, if that doesn't work I'll reboot and try booth again.

Oh no I'm panicing now. I have no backup plan, in a calm voice.

So I restarted no luck. it does the same thing goes to start recording then fails. I haven't tried a live view successfully but thats because I have yet to install other codecs and the playback portion isn't setup, I will try this now.

I also got .net runtime errors, You will find them and the application errors listed in the log 7z

EEk, I may have to quickly build a xp box and GB friday night, 90% of my recording is on the weekends.

Lately, I think after the unmaganged.dll swap, the service hasn't been crashing however its still not recording off of the PVR 350, the last error it stats is an error changing resolutions, its probably in the last log post. What can I do to look into this?

Do you have Microsoft Media Center installed? That was my problem. My recording problem is gone now that I disabled MMC.
