How do you improve the resolution that you get through the pvr 150 card?  The one I'm getting right now through the card seems to be lower quality than if I went through the TV.  Any suggestions?

Here's a picture, oh cripes the stupid yahoo briefcase isn't working properly, here's a link to the briefcase then that has the picture, the not_clear one is the one with the problem
yahoo briefcase that holds the picture

hope someone knows how to increase the sharpness, etc... to make it look better

Here's some details:
Digital Cable -> pvr 150 through the same type of cable that goes into the cable box (I don't know what that type of cable is called)

pc: p4 3.0 GHz, ASUS P4P800 Deluxe mother board, 512Megs of DDR (ddr pc-3200 CAS 2-3-3-6), Aslyum 5900 (128Meg card AGP),  saving all the recordings onto a Seagate SATA

one other thing to add to the mix, I got a response from another user on another board and he said "and are you recording at 480? Don't use 720 unless you've got an HDTV. It downscales to 480 and looks like crap." But would that be an issue when I'm using a LCD monitor (dell wide screen flat panel 20.1 " monitor)

Google wintv 150 sharpness and you'll find a lot of help. You can also search this board from start and find stuff, too. You can also find help here, incl from tipster, a board regular here:

Personally, I coudln't get those fixes to work, but the sharpness overlay in Dscaler worked great. Many other ppl had success though. I don't have digital cable, but I got analog to look good.

I record at 720 and looks fine. 420 may make sense if you can't get image to strecth to fit (on a tv)

You'll get a better picture if you use an SVideo cable from your cable box.
