Which Head phone - with Mini USB charging port

I know nothing about mobile phones. All I want to do is make/receive calls and send the odd text. Thats all I do and all I want it to do.

The last phone I had (alcatel AME408 22 quid 2 years ago from ASDA) did everything I needed it to. It also had one great feature (far better than all the rubbish that came on the expensive phones I've had in the past) in that it was charged via a mini USB port. Which meant I could use a generic USB cable to charge it. I use such cables at home, at work, in my car and also in the aeroplane so it was quite handy.

Anyway Its broken and I've been miss sold a replacement that I was told used a mini usb port to charge when it doesn't it uses a micro USB port to charge.

Could anybody recommend a hand phone thats dead basic and uses a mini usb to charge it? and I would rather buy brand new instead of 2nd hand of ebay

Is it not possible to get a mini/micro converter cable/adapter?

Yeah, pretty sure all phones now come with microUSB. (well, if they are using a non-proprietary port anyway)
They said they did that so the spring connectors are in the cable and not in the phone, as those parts wear out quicker (rather replace a $2 cable than a phone)

Thinking about it further and looking at what's probably a ten-a-penny USB cable supplied with my phone (normal USB size at one end and micro at the other) I'd suggest either just buying one of those cables or going back to whoever sold you the phone and asking for a free cable that works for charging.

Admittedly my phone cost more than 22 quid but they did supply a proper charger and USB cable with it.
