Btw., it looks like that the developers only get support from amd. Intel seems not to be interested in supporting this project. So don't expect wonders on non amd systems.

hmm.... interesting. They have a build of both gingerbread and honeycomb for the ASUS EeePC. I still have one of the very first original EeePC's sitting around, haven't used it in awhile particularly since I got a TouchPad. Perhaps I'll fiddle with Android on it.

I found the Android x86 project back in the summer and have an old Asus Travelmate which could be a contender. The site has been bookmarked since then and I still haven't found time to investigate further.
